This year, we are hosting a family style barbecue at Echo Lake, the weekend of September 7th & 8th. Hope you will leave that date open and join us for some fun. Awards will be presented at 7 PM with music to follow at 9 PM. Our general meeting will be from 10:00 -12:00 with election of officers and the barbecue later that afternoon.
Farmers has volleyball stakes available, but does not have the net and ball. If anyone has these items and would like to share them, please bring them along Saturday. There is also a horseshoe pit for those of you who might like to indulge. And of course, there is a beach area with a floating dock that will moor 2-3 boats. For those of you who want to camp overnight at the facility, I've been told there is space available for dry camping for approximately 15-20 units. For those of you who would like to stay overnight in the area, the Association has reserved a block of rooms at the Timber's Motel just south of Bigfork. Rooms rent for $42.00 single, $47 one
double bed, and $52.00 for 2 double beds. These rooms need to be booked two weeks in advance so be sure to call the LTAM office as soon as you can. After Aug. 23rd, these rooms will be let go and any bookings will have to be done on your own.
Now, for directions to the Farmer's Union Campground. Take Highway 35 toward Bigfork. Take the Swan Highway 83, at Streeters Corner, approximately 2 miles to Echo Lake Road, then go approximately 4 miles - 1/2 mile past levee on LaBrandt Road, and you're at the campground.
As for the meeting hall that's provided, the hall is large enough to provide ample cover for our barbecue if it rains. There is some picnic tables and a few benches, but we will need those of you who have lawn chairs, to bring them. The LTAM will provide barbecued pork, beer, pop, music, games, paper plates, cups, silverware, napkins, etc. Each family will
